Our newest model, the YUKON FLYER, is designed specifically for long distant races such as the Yukon Quest, but it is also ideal for mid-distant racing or recreation. It can carry a load, and it is tough. Built with Matrix metal runners, we offer a choice of heavy duty or light weight. It has all of our quality parts and materials including laminated white ash wooden stanchions, cross piece, and basket slats, molded rubber footboards, grade eight hardware. An optional UHMW bed can be attached to "float" under the bed structure and act as a toboggan in deep snow. This model has been tested and proven effective on the 2000 Yukon Quest 1000 mile race from Fairbanks, Alaska to Whitehorse, Canada. 5' bed with light runners: $1100 5' bed with heavy runners: $1150 6' bed with heavy runners:

| Laughing Husky Enterprises has been manufacturing dogsleds here in Fairbanks since 1986, and we intend to continue manufacturing them for a long time. This means that if anything happens to your Laughing Husky sled we will be here to supply you with repairs and parts. We use only carefully selected
white ash for our wooden parts, and the highest quality hardware, grade
8 bolts. Many of our sleds feature our trademark footboards: a heavy
gauge aluminum base has been molecularly bonded to a nubbed 5/8"
rubber cover, creating footboards that remain 86% flexible to -65F.
They do not ice up. |
